Sports stifled by Rita back on track

While Houston didn`t get the worst of Hurricane Rita, there are many questions to be answered by area schools. West Brook and PA Memorial are in District 22-5A with the Baytown schools, Humble, Kingwood, Spring and Westfield. The schools aren`t certain when they`ll meet to schedule varsity games missed last week or this week.

Other districts still trying to determine their future are Conroe Independent School District and 18-4A, which includes Livingston. Livingston was hit harder by the hurricane than rivals Brenham, Caney Creek, Klein Oak, Montgomery, New Caney, Waller and Willis.

Officials in both districts will meet today. Conroe meets with Huntsville and Lufkin, while the rest of 14-5A ? the Klein ISD schools and The Woodlands ? will play this week`s games as scheduled.
