Tennis Match in Vietnam
Vietnam`s first international tennis tournament kicked off Monday with a ceremony and a loss by the country`s top player. Do Minh Quan, a wild card playing before a home crowd, lost to Bjorn Phau of Germany 6-3, 6-2 on indoor courts at the ATP Vietnam Open.
In another first-round match at Phu Tho Indoor Sports Complex, Lu Yen-hsun of Taiwan defeated Antony Dupuis of France 6-1, 6-4.
The sports tournament shined light on further evidence that Vietnam is coming into it`s own after the wars of the past, Vietnam`s leader recently went to the United States for talks with U.S. President George W. Bush, and further sporting events
