Salt Lake wipes floor with Columbus

Edson Buddle scored twice to lead the Columbus Crew to a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday night. Buddle opened the scoring for Columbus (10-14-4) eight minutes into the game after Salt Lake`s Paul Broome misplayed a cross from Columbus` Chris Henderson.

Buddle added his second goal of the game and seventh of the year shortly before halftime, taking a pass from Kyle Martino and beating goalkeeper D.J. Countess. Andy Williams scored for Real Salt Lake (5-19-4).

Major League Soccer may not have a gigantic following in the United States, but as the MLS season heats up expect a major push by the league to get their name out there and finally get some of the major sports spotlights and highlights coverage.
