NY Eying Lynch

If negotiations between the New York and the Portland fail, look for the Knicks to explore the option of adding George Lynch who played for Brown in Philadelphia. With the injury to Quentin Richardson, Thomas has been trying to acquire another small forward. It appears that head coach Larry Brown prefers starting Richardson at the second guard position along side Stephan Marbury, and have Jamal Crawford coming off the bench.

The Knicks are also in the market for a backup point guard in the mold of Eric snow, who is available. The Caves will gladly dispose of Snow?s monstrous contract if they could get an expiring contact such as Antonio Davis? in return. Word from Cleveland is that LeBron prefers playing with Mike Wilks over Snow. In order for a deal to be consummated, the Caves would have to take a bad contract in return.

A straight up of Malik Rose for Snow could work under the cap (the Knicks would probably have to include cash consideration of 2nd round draft choice to complete the deal). Brown doesn?t like what he sees from his point guards. He makes it sounds as if he had John Stockton playing for him the past couple of seasons in Detroit. Chauncey Billups is just as offensive minded as Marbury, and yet Brown made work just fine in Detroit.
