Kincks Peruse Additional Trades

After managing to acquire bulster NY roster Quentin Richardson, Jerome James and Eddy Curry, Isiah Thomas is not done making moves. Thomas is rumored to be perusing both Ruben Patterson and Darius Miles of the Portland Trailblazers. Thomas is trying to swing a deal for one of the two. The Blazers want expiring contracts which New York isn?t willing to offer.

Miles had a breakout year a couple of seasons ago, which has landed him a big fat contract with Portland. However, he clashed constantly with head coach Maurice Cheeks last year, which has resulted in a reduction of his playing time. Patterson is no stranger to getting himself in troubles also.

Why would Thomas even want to trade such players? Huston?s retirement has left the Knicks a bit depleted on the wings. If he does manage to swing a deal for either, Thomas hopes that the new environment coupled with the influence of new head coach Larry Brown will help keep these players from reverting to their destructive ways. Brown has had a lot of success with getting through to problematic players such as Rashid Wallace and Derek Colman.
