Injury Bug Hits Hard

The injury bug has defiantly taken its tool earlier than most people would have expected. It?s only the off-season and already big names players such as Kevin Garnet, Allen Iverson, Jermaine O`Neal and LaBron James are sidelined with injuries. I?m not even talking about players like Amare Stoudemire who is lost for the better part of the season.

If an injury occurs it?s better when it happens in the preseason and not during the regular season. Nonetheless, the fact that they have to prepare for the season without their star players hut these teams. Training camp is when you try out different formations and see what works and what not.

When your star player is sidelined, coaches lose valuable preparation time. Instead of working all of your kinks out in preseason, teams are forced to do it during the regular season ?on the fly?.
