Rookie of the Year Early Nominees
The season is one week away and already analysts are putting their 2 cents trying to guess who will win the Rookie of the Year award this year. The rookie of the year is usually selected according to his stat line. Having impressive statistics is the result of a lot of playing time. Out of all the top-tier rookies that have come into the league, who it the one who stands to get the most playing time this year?
First pick Andrew Bogut will be getting a lot of minutes in Milwaukee this year. Hoever, the young Austalian has had some problems adjusting to the physical style of play during the off-season, which is why I don?t think he?ll win it. Plus, big men always take longer to develop.
My candidate for rookie of the year is Chris Paul of the Hornets. For the record, I don?t view Paul as the best player in the Draft, nor do I regard him even as the best point guard. The fact of the matter is that he is that he stands to get a lot of minutes this year, since he is playing for a team that is going absolutely nowhere.
