Nene on the Block

Nene, the talented but unstable forward/center of the Denver Nuggets has created a lot of buzz lately. Numerous GM?s have approached the Nuggets about making a sign and trade. This is Nene?s last season with the team, which means that he?ll be playing for a new contract this year, which should get him fired up.

Will the Nuggets actually trade him? Considering their options, the may very well trade him by the trading deadline. Nene will command a similar contract to that of Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler, which will run for 5-6 years, ranging from 55-60 million dollars. A team like Atlanta could go insane and offer him an up to 70 million.

Will the Nuggets be willing to mach such a generous offer for a player who has been plagued with inconsistency his entire career? It doesn?t appear likely, especially given the fact that they have millions of dollars already invested in their current front line of Kenyon Martin and Marcus Camby
