Livingston Injured Again
You always hate to see a young player?s career derailed by injuries. This the case with Clippers point guard Shaun Livingston who was the third pick in the 2004 Draft. Livingston came straight out of high school and was pegged by many scouts as a modern-day version of Magic Johnson.
However, injuries have slowed down his progress all throughout his rookie year. The Clippers weren?t going anywhere last season, which could mean a lot of playing time for the young point guard. The bad new doesn?t stop there. It appears that Livingston will have to spend an additional time of the court with a back ailment.
One of the benefits of the new bargaining agreement is the fact that high school players will no longer be able to jump straight to the pros. Had Livingston gone to college, he would have had ample time to fill out his frame, which could have prevented all of these nagging injuries.
