Sun Sets on Phoenix

With Amare Stoudemire out of the lineup for near future, the Suns will have a tough time replicating last season?s record this year. However, Phoenix does have enough talent on its roster to remain competitive until Stoudemire returns. The players who will have to pick up the slack the most are newly acquired Kurt Thomas and Brian Grant.

Lat season, Stoudemire was the teams only option in the low post. This is where Phoenix will struggle the most, given that both Thomas and Grant like to settle for the mid-range jumper. Without a viable option at the post the Suns will struggle to maintain the same high octane offense from last season.

The Suns will put out even a smaller roster than the ones they had last year. Playing the 6-10 Stoudemire at center is less of a stretch of playing either Thomas or Grant who are both only 6-9.
