Sprewell Still Looking For Employment
Last summer Latrell Sprewell declined a $21 million contract for three years from the Minnesota Timberwolves, arguing that he had a family to feed as the reason why he couldn?t settle so low. The Wolves reciprocated by not extending any type of offer to him this off season.
Esentiall, Sprewell walked away from a guaranteed $21 when he declined the Wolves offer. Given his poor performance last season, he will be lucky to get the veteran exception this year. Eventhough several teams still have their midlevel exception intact, no self respecting GM will dare offering it to Sprewell.
There was talk a few weeks ago that he will end up in LA. However, Phil Jackson made it clear that he opposes to brining him in. The only viable option for Sprewell seems to be Denver who is in the market for a veteran shooting guard, where he will reunite with his old NY teammate Marcus Camby.
