Davis Saga Ends

The Antonio Davis ? New York saga has finally ended according to Isiah Thomas the teams? president, who announced that Davis is expected join the Knicks training camp soon. Davis has been very vocal in his unwillingness to join the Knicks. He had wished for the Knicks to wave him so he would be able to go back to his former team the Chicago Bulls.

Davis was traded to New York as part of the deal for Eddy Curry. Apparently, Davis didn?t want to play for New York, even though it meant reuniting with his former coach Larry Brown. Davis was possibly concerned with his playing time being diminished as a result of the trade.

In Chicago, Davis was bumped to the starting lineup when Curry was sidelined. With New York, Davis would be lucky to see any playing time at all, given that the Knicks are over-stocked at both the Power Forward position and Center.
