Kings Making Strives to Say in Contention
With the NBA regular season two weeks away, we continue with our coverage of each of teams. Today, we?ll focus on the Sacramento Kings, a team that has made some key changes over the summer. Sacramento first order of priority over the summer was to get a replacement at the two guard position, after it became obvious to tea officials that Cuttino Mobley does not intend to resign with the team.
Sacramento completed a deal that brought them Bonzi Wells from Memphis for Bobby Jackson. Wells is an accomplished scorer and a fantastic defender. However, it remains to be seen how he?ll be able to adjust to the Princeton offense that the Kings like to run.
The other major addition to the Kings roster was Shareef Abdur-Rahim who didn?t get signed by the Nets for health concerns. The Kings quickly swooped in and netted themselves with one of the best bargains in the free agent market. The Kings are now 2-deep at every position, which makes them one of the deepest teams not only in the west but in the entire league.
