Jersey Poised for Title Run

The New Jersey Nets are striving to recapture their status as title contenders this year. There isn?t a more exciting trio in the league than Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson. Expect Kidd to get the Nets up and running in a Run-N?-Gun style of offense, utilizing the team?s strengths in the open court.

After the Sharif Abdur Rahim trade fell through, when Rahim failed to pass his physical, the Nets had to scramble trying to fill in the starting power forward spot. Rod Thorn struck a deal with the Sixers that landed the Nets Marc Jackson that can play both the four and the five positions.

The team also added Jeff McInnis over the summer which will provide the Nets with a serviceable backup point guard able to spell Kidd during the game, which is something they never had ever since Kidd joined the team. New Jersey also added some much needed firepower off the bench in Lamond Murray and Scott Padgett.
