Bucks Stop Here
The Milwaukee Bucks of this year look very different from the last year?s team. They have added several players through the draft and free agency, and hired Terry Stotts as their new head coach in place of Terry Porter.
With the first pick of the 2005 NBA Draft the Bucks selected 7-foot Australian center Andrew Bogut, out of Utah. True centers are hard to come by, especially ones with a complete game such as Bogut, who is capable of posting up as well as hit the outside jumper.
The Bucks signed free agent small forward Bobby Simmons over the summer, who will back up both Desmond Mason and Michael Redd. Milwaukee will also be welcoming back a familiar face in T.J. Ford who got a clean bill of health and is now ready to resume playing.
This year?s team is poised to make a run at the playoffs, but with most of the teams in the east also improving, Milwaukee will be in for a tough competition.
