Odom Benefits Most from Jackson?s Return

Expectations are high in LA this season after reacquiring the services of Phil Jackson and making some key additions to a team that failed to reach the playoffs last year. The key to the Lakers success this season is the nature of the relationship between Bryant and Jackson. If the two would be able to coexist, displaying some level of mutual respect for one another, than they have a shot at the playoffs.

On the other hand, if this season turns out to be as dramatic as the Jackson?s last with the team, they?ll struggle to even make it to the playoffs. The addition of Kwame Brown would mean that Lamar Odom will switch to the small forward position, which is his natural position. Expect Jackson to utilize Odom the same way he did with Scottie Pipen.

Many have forgotten that Odom used to run the offense when he was playing for the Cllipers, which means that he is quite capable and experienced in the position.
