Rockets Cleared to Take Off

Huston Rockets? GM Carol Dawson has been very busy this off-season. Dawson traded for Rafer Alston and convinced free agents Derek Anderson and Stromile Swift to sign with the team, while managing to resign his key players from last season.

Huston prize acquisition this summer has defiantly been Swift who gives them an athletic power forward to play along Yao Ming. Swift was the most coveted power forward this summer, however, I?m a bit doubtful of how well he fits into Houston?s front line.

Swift is very limited in terms of offense which could lead team to leave him open and double-team Yao. Finding a way to incorporate Swift in the offense as more than just the fifth option would be a tough task for head coach Jeff Van Gundy, who also has to break in a new starting point guard in Alston.
