Green Bay Finally Gets One
Bring out the cheese heads! The Green Bay Packers have got their first victory of the season, pulverizing the New Orleans Saints to the tune of 52-3. The Packers first win of the season came in week five (better late than never). Brett Favre and Packers offense exploded all over the helpless Saints scoring 52 unanswered points.
Beside the final score, this win was particularly impressive for the Packers who managed to win despite playing without four of their starters on offense. In yesterday?s game, the Packers lost another offensive player in running back Najeh Davenport who scored two touchdowns before breaking his leg.
Without Davenport, Green Bay?s running game rest solely on the shoulders of Ahman Green, who has been struggling this season. The win buys another week for head coach Mike Sherman who has been on the hot seat for the past weeks.
