Warriors Headed for the Playoffs?

On paper, the Golden State Warriors have enough talent to make it into the playoffs. Other than overpaying to get Derek Fisher and Adonal Foyle, GM Chris Mullin has done a decent job of assembling a young and athletic roster. The key to the Warriors success is the health of Baron Davis. If he manages to stay injury free the Warriors have a good chance of competing in the western conference.

Ike Diogu was a first round steal, and everyone is predicting that this kid would have a monstrous year for Golden State this year. Second year player Andris Biedrins is expected to get more minutes this year at the center position. Biedrins aggressiveness was very impressive for a European player.

After three years in the league, Mike Dunleavy remains an enigma. So far, he hasn?t lived up to expectations, and his inconstancy has heart the Warriors in previous years. This is a make of break year for Dunleavy. If he is unable to produce expect Mike Montgomery to start Mickael Pietrus at the small forward position.
