Vick Expected to Start Today

Atlanta Falcons fans have breathed a sigh of relief learning that starting quarterback and franchise player Michael Vick is likely to start today against the New England Patriots. Vick was sidelined in last week?s game versus Minnesota after suffering an injury in the second quarter.

An MRI taken the morning after Vick had suffered the injury showed that that there is no structural damage to his right knee. As a result, the Falcons will be starting Vick in today?s game against the Patriots who are coming off last week embracing loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Obviously, the Falcons need Vick if they hope to have any chance of defeating New England. However, it might be in their best interest to sit him down for one more week and allow him to fully recover. If Vick reaggravates his injury, the Falcons are risking more than just losing this game.
