Vandeweghe and the Nuggets Continue to Wait it Out

Kiki Vandeweghe takes his time before making a move in the off-season. Last year, he waited so long, until his last resort was to overpay to get Kenyon Martin, just so he could have something to show for. This year is no different. All summer long, we kept hearing the Nuggets name involved in trade rumors and with regards to free agents, and yet nothing was done.

The Nuggets have a glaring hole at the two guard position, one that they have failed addressed through the draft and free agency. The Nuggets have some desirable assets they can use in order to get some help at the position, but it appears that the Nuggets don?t feel the urgency to upgrade their roster just yet.

Judging from their history, they?ll probably drag it out until the trading deadline. Denver?s most attractive commodity is Nene, which has become expandable with the addition of Kenyon Martin. There were rumors a couple of weeks ago that the Nuggets intent to trade him to the Celtics along with Andre Miller for Paul Pierce. This trade makes a lot of sense for the Nuggets, who could use Pierce outside shooting.
