Jazz Finally Ink McLeod
After months of anticipation, the Jazz have finally agree to terms with point guard Keith McLeod, making him the third point guard on the Jazz?s roster. Earlier this year, the Jazz grabbed Deron Williams with the third pick of the draft and also added Milt Palacio through free agency.
Neither McLeod nor Palacio are expected to start for the Jazz who have struggled to fill up the point guard position ever since John Stockton retired. Even though both started for teams in their respective careers, none has been too successful. McLeod, was the starting point guard for Utah most of last season. He started the season well, filling in for injured Carlos Arroyo, but struggled as the season progressed. Palacio also saw time as a starter during his stint in Toronto.
The Jazz must have a lot of confidence in the rookie Williams, who is expected to play a lot of minutes for Utah this year. Williams is true point guard, who combines the physical attributes and the playmaking abilities which will make him a special player in the years to come. All three of these guards are tough defenders, which is a must if you want to play for Jerry Sloan.
