Sleepless in Settle

Something special is going on in Seattle. After a disappointing exit last season, this year the Seattle Seahawks are poised to make a serious run for a Super Bowl ring. The Seahawks are now 9-2 after beating the Giants convincingly on Sunday. Playing in front of one of the loudest crowds in the NFL, the Seahawks are prepared to do anything not to let the home field advantage slip away.

Gaining home-field advantage through the playoffs, is a likelihood that increased tremendously with Sunday?s sudden-death victory over another NFC contender. Just how loud was the crowd? Eleven times the Giants offense was flagged for having a helpless lineman move prematurely, a false-start faux pas that left the visitors feeling a bit numb.

"I was right next to Eli and I couldn?t hear him", said guard David Diehl, guilty of three false starts. "That?s something you have to deal with in a big game on the road like this. This is the loudest it?s ever been and there?s nothing you can say, nothing you can do?. ?That was one of the loudest sporting events I?ve ever been to?, said Jurevicius, who continued his sterling season with a pair of touchdowns among his eight receptions.
