Clipping Success in LA

Last time I?ve checked, pigs couldn?t fly. The reason why I looked out the window in the first place has a lot to do with the fact that the Clippers are 8-2, while the Lakers are 4-6. Is it possible the Clippers make it into the playoffs this season? If they do, you can bet your ass that Donald Sterling will do the best he can to screw up the team by the time next season starts. For years, Sterling has been content with just putting a subpar product out on the floor.

This year, the Clippers might not be visiting the lottery for the first time in years, which is more than I could say about the Lakers at this point. After a hot start, the Laker offense really slowed. Currently they`re 22nd in the league with 93.5 ppg as opposed to the Clippers fourth best 100.2 ppg. Clippers allow opponents to shoot a second best 41.5% from the field.

Put all those numbers together and the Clippers are outscoring their opponents by 5.8 ppg while the Lakers are being outscored by 1.6 ppg. The Clippers are doing it on both ends. The Clippers bang the boards well at 44.1 rpg (6th), while on the other end, the Clippers give up 39.2 rpg (4th). The Clippers are also one of the best rebounding teams in the league with a differential of 4.9 rpg.
