Anyone that sys that they predicted that the Clippers would be standing at 8-2 three weeks into the season is flat out lying. The truth of the matter is that no one saw it coming. The main reason behind their terrific start has been Elton Brand. Brand who was acquired from the Chicago Bulls for the right to select Tyson Chandler has been nothing but consistent all throughout his career both in Chicago and LA. However, there is a big difference between being the best player on a bad team as opposed to a good team.

This week brand was officially recognized for his efforts being named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the week ending November 20. Brand averaged 25.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots in leading the Clippers to a 3-0 record during the week to extend the team`s best start in franchise history to 8-2.
