Marbury Wants a Switch

Stephon told Larry Brown that he would like to switch to the shooting guard spot. Brown?s response was, you guessed it, hell no. Marbury says that Brown should utilize him the way he did with Allen Iverson. First of all, when Brown was coaching Philly he had both Eric Snow and Aaron Mackie to handle the point. Who does he have in NY? Jamal Crawford clearly can?t run the offense and the rookie Nate Robinson is an undersized version of Marbury who is more of a scoring guard.

No one is really surprised of what?s going on in NY. What is surprising is the fact that it took so long to blow up. Brown has a certain way he wants guys to play and Stephon is not that kind of player. Stephon can be contrite all day long, but at the end of the day what makes Stephon a special player in the NBA, is exactly why he does not fit in New York?s Larry Brown system, as evident by Steph?s numbers this season and his frustration in his role with New York.

The Knicks continue to deny any interest in trading Steph, but as long as they allow teams to pitch for Stephon, his name is gonna be in the paper, and its only a matter of time before someone offers Larry Brown and Isiah Thomas the right combination of players to get him to move off of trading Stephon.
