Nuggets Look for Front Court Help

With Nene out for the next few months the Nuggets are looking for some frontline help. Denver has a stockpile of point guards, which they can use to swing a deal. The Nuggets spent $24 million in the summer to sign Earl Watson. They also have $60 invested in Andre Miller and another $15 in Earl Boykins. Out of all three, Miller is the most likely to be used in any potential trade because he getting paid the most money.

A team that is looking to deal is the Knicks (what a surprise). Larry Brown is extremely unhappy about the point guard situation and would like to get a more traditional point guard. New York has a lot of big bodies they are willing to trade like Malik Rose and Maurice Taylor. However, none of them would interest the Nuggets.

If the Knicks were to offer either Channing Frye or David Lee in any potential trade talks, Denver might just bite. The Nuggets are looking for an insurance policy for the often injured Marcus Camby. Since they are not going to get good offers for Nene until he proves to be healthy, their only option is to trade one of their point guards.
