Kings Put on a Shameful Display
During the introduction of Detroit?s players during last night?s game in Sacramento, the scoreboard at Arco Arena displayed less than flattering images of the city of Detroit, such as demolished cars and abandoned buildings. The Pistons players didn?t see the shameful display. However, that didn?t keep them from returning a favor and spoiling the Kings home opener.
The Pistons are a perfect 4-0, marking their best start since 1996, which coincidently enough is the last time that the team was able to get a win at Arco. The Pistons under new head coach Flip Saunders maintain the same defensive stance that has been the club?s trade mark in the past couple of season. The Pistons are holding their opponents to under 85 points per game.
The aspect that the Pistons have improved the most is their offense. During the first 3 games of the season the Pistons have been scoring over 100 on average. Saunders is a very creative coach when it comes to devising offensive sets. After all, he is the one that has moved the 7-1 Kevin Garnett to the small forward position.
