Eagles Drop to Last Place
Terrell Owens who was suspended by the Eagles earlier this week for behavior detrimental to the team was no where to be found during last night?s game against the Redskins. Without Owens in the line up, the Eagles dropped to last place in the NFC after suffering a 17-10 loss by the hands of the Washington Redskins.
McNabb, who was forced to throw to the likes of Josh Parry and Stephen Spach instead of the All-Pro Owens commented, ?It is tough losing a guy of his caliber, of his ability, but I think we might be better off?. McNabb also added, ?Nothing against him and his attitude. It`s just when you get out there on the football field, it`s about playing together?.
After losing three of their last four games, the Eagles are now a .500 team with a 4-4 record, only a year after finishing 13-3 en route to the Super Bowl. And while the Redskins quickly erased the memory of last week`s 36-0 loss to the Giants, Philadelphia couldn`t rebound from its 28-point loss at Denver. Even without Owens in the line up, and dealing with all sorts of injuries, McNabb put up a valiant effort posting some impressive numbers.
