Gasol Sparks Grizzlies Win Over Cavaliers

So far in this young season, Pau Gasol has been very impressive around the basket and from the perimeter. Gasol has bulked up over the summer, which has had an effect on his game. It allows him to be a lot more aggressive in the post. People tend to forget that he is 7-1, which makes him a legitimate center in the league.

Ever since he got to Memphis GM Jerry West has been looking for a center to pare up along side the gifted forward. Now that Gasol has filled up his frame nicely, the Grizzlies would be better of focusing their attention on getting another multi facet forward that can play the four.

In another display of how he improved form last season, Gasol led the Grizzlies last night past the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers to the score of 113-106. Pau Gasol has continued his strong play through the first three games of the season. While there is no doubt that the team will look to Gasol to be the go-to player, it is perhaps a toss-up on who will be the back-up scorer to Gasol on a nightly basis.
