Bobcats Open Season with a Bang


Marking their first home game in the new Charlotte Bobcats Arena, the Charlotte Bobcats plan to host a grand opening celebration on November 5th, sponsored by Lowe`s Home Improvement. This is the Bobcats second season in Charlotte, North Carolina after joining the league as an expansion team last year.

The Trade Street Plaza Street provides the setting for the celebrations that are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. Fans will be treated to live perform by a band in addition to games that will be set up for fans of all ages to enjoy. The team?s players will make their entrance to the arena through the Trade Street Plaza public entrance. Following the player arrivals, a performing ice carving team will take the stage.

At 6:00 p.m. doors to the arena will open as the Bobcats Dance Team and Rally Cats will be joined by select Bobcats players to greet fans as they enter the building followed by a pyrotechnic "splash" show. High "Impact" Squad will be performing their aerobic slam-dunk show at 7:00 p.m. They will be followed by Grammy-Award winning gospel singer Yolanda Adams will sing "I Believe I Can Fly" who will also perform the National Anthem.
