Armstrong takes Tour lead again
Six-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has reclaimed the lead in stage 10 of this year`s race after a temporary surrendering of the lead that increased a perception of vulnerability for the cycling champ in earlier stages of the race. Armstrong left his main rivals Jan Ullrich and Alexandre Vinokourov far behind in the Alps.
Armstrong leads the overall standings by 38 seconds from Michael Rasmussen of Denmark, with Ullrich now over four minutes behind.
"We`re in a good position as compared to some of the main rivals - but there`s still a lot of racing to go. We have another day in the Alps, a transition stage then two very tough days in the Pyrenees, then the final time trial."
