Philly Road Woes
The Sixers have lost six straight road games which makes a lot of people in Philly concerned. To win on the road you need to have a steady contribution from the bench. So far this season, the Sixers bench has been virtually nonexistent. There is also no one that is able to provide scoring punch and provide a spark off the bench. If the Sixers want to make up for the lack in bench production they need to improve on a number of accounts.
First of all, the team needs to improve the defense. While the team has seemingly some decent individual defenders (especially, Andre Iguodala) and for the last four games, got shot blocking specialist, Samuel Dalembert back from a quadriceps strain, it has been overall absolutely horrible against both guard penetration and perimeter shooting. Teams are shooting overall 46.9% against the Sixers and they are allowing a total of 102.8 points per game.
Secondly, Philly also needs to improve on rebounding the ball. With Dalembert out the Sixers struggled to rebound and he has been a bright spot since returning pulling down 10.6 RBG. However, in recent games the Sixers have been out-rebounded in many of their losses, and as a whole, the Sixers are averaging about 4.3 rebounds per game less than their opponents.
