Bogut and Magloire Should Start for Bucks

Even though they are sporting a record of 6-9, the Bucks have been unstable. Over the course of the past 8 games the Bucks drooped 4. Three of the losses have come on the road and always sequentially. The instability began right around the time when Adrew Bogut out was replaced by Joe Smith in the starting lineup. The Bucks started the season with a hungry passion for winning games. In three of their first four wins, they had to overcome double-digit deficits, including a 20 point lead squandered by the Pacers.

Stotts admires Joe for being a veteran, and a scrappy ball-player who Stotts admires, but the Bogut and Magloire appear to have more of an impact on the game when they are playing together. When both centers play together, the frontcourt is clogged, and giving up 42 points in the paint to the Jazz will be nearly impossible, barring foul-trouble. Also, Stotts lack of offensive plays for Bogut is frustrating to watch. Andrew gets most of his points on rebound put backs, and really hasn?t had much of an opportunity to get involved in the low-post offense.

Bogut has moves, a soft jump hook, and has great footwork (even on the defensive end), while Magloire has looked violently uncoordinated, with a fastball for a baby-hook, bad hands around the basket, and foot work belonging to a day-old giraffe (without all the slippery amniotic fluid). Magloire?s intensity on defense is superb though, and with Andrew, they form one of the most formidable frontcourts in the Eastern Conference.
