WISM update for week of Aug 28
The Washington Institute of Sports Medicine in Kirkland offers sport specific training to enhance speed, running technique, agility, and power. Programs available for athletes of all ages and ability levels. Sessions scheduled at your convenience. There are a number of baseball leagues in the area which are looking for players.
Summer camps are being offered for speed, quickness and agility in Redmond for ages nine and up. The Washington Women`s Baseball Association is sanctioning a local recreational league to reach out to girls and women who never had the opportunity to play baseball. Ages 14-55+ are invited. Babe Ruth baseball summer/Fall signups for ages 12-19 are being taken by the Redmond Baseball Association. Rijo Athletics Baseball of Woodinville is holding evaluations and tryouts for the 2005 fall baseball league for ages 10-19. National showcase tryouts are also happening. Rijo is also looking for PT and FT instructors and coaches.
Washington Baseball offers a fall league for players ages 15-18 at Husky Ballpark. The season runs from Sept. 17-Oct. 13 and games are on Monday and Thursday nights. Tryouts for the Washington Chiefs 19U Sr. Babe Ruth team will be held in Aug. and Sept. The Shockers Baseball Club is holding pitcher and catcher tryouts for ages 16-18 from noon-3 p.m. on Aug. 27 at D&L Homeplate Training in Mukilteo. Honda of Bellevue 18U tryouts will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 at BCC. Players living in Redmond, Interlake, Bellevue and Mercer Island High boundaries are eligible to attend. Honda of Bellevue 16U tryouts will be held from 5 -7:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 at BCC.
