Washington team beats Russian tean in softball World Series action
The Redmond, Washington Little League team beat Europe 10-8 in the second day of pool play at the Junior Softball World Series on Monday at Everest Park.
Kaitlyn Clements picked up the win and Jenny Eisenmann had two hits for Redmond, which was actually out-hit by the Russian team 9-8.
Redmond is now third in Pool A behind the U.S. East team, which was idle, and the U.S. Southwest team from LaGrange, Texas. Southwest shut out Canada 3-0 in Monday",s other Pool A game. Redmond plays East (Milton, Pa.,) at 2 p.m. today.
