A recent survey regarding smoking in the average American home produced some interesting results. It was found that three out of four households ban smoking indoors altogether. This was a marked decrease in smoking from statistics taken a decade ago.

An entertainment media regulator Ofcom had received a viewer`s complaint about the Tom and Jerry cartoons. The complaint was about the characters` smoking in the animated entertainment series, which is not appropriate for young viewers.

Acting Governor of New Jersey Richard Codey signed a bill last Sunday that made smoking in bars, restaurants and many other public places illegal. Smoking in government buildings was already illegal in the state. The new measure also restricts smoking in private office buildings.
