The unemployment rate climbed, last week, to its highest level since November

Unemployment has seen a significant rise over the past few years, however, this has finally come to an end. In fact, unemployment rates are at their lowest point in approximately four years. This further attests to the fact that the US economy has taken a turn for the better, since last years major drop.

Employment testing is a necessary aspect of every successful business. Both in testing employees capabilities and background screening, new employees must be checked to be sure that they will contribute to their prospective company.

Last summer Latrell Sprewell declined a $21 million contract for three years from the Minnesota Timberwolves, arguing that he had a family to feed as the reason why he couldn?t settle so low. The Wolves reciprocated by not extending any type of offer to him this off season.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that 42,300 jobs were lost last month, with the jobless rate rising to 5.1% from 5%, which was a 29 year low in August of this year.

So far 68,000 Americans have lost their jobs as a result of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and while that figure is sure to rise analysts say that it is hopeful given the strength of the U.S. economy before the disaster a major downturn can be avoided.
