Google is about to offer a new service that will allow Internet users to search through the archives of magazines, newspapers and other publications and find material that in some cases dates back more than 200 years.

Eleven nations including Germany that share custody of millions of files on victims of the Nazi regime agreed Tuesday, to open the archives to researchers, a report has said. According to the report, it`s the world`s largest archive of its kind, based in the central German town of Bad Arolsen.

New Personal Archive product comes from the off-site email management and security provider Postini. The new service is targeted for the corporate market, and will allow users to store all email and instant messaging communications permanently.
