Human rights watch groups in the Central African country of the Congo have accused the Congolese army of abusing citizens, forcing them to work in mines and as personal attendants.

An independent contractor has been charged with hundreds of counts of child sexual assault, and child pornography, after he allegedly molested and videotaped children while working in their homes. Authorities have accused Clement Bilski Jr., 43, of preying on at least eleven children who were eight years and under, between 1998 and 2005.

The Internet Watch Foundation has recently released a report, according to which half of Internet images that show sexual abuse of children are from the United States. Moreover, the majority of the images can be seen many years after they have been posted.

Guillermo Ibarra, an official with the Mexican National Human Rights Commission, said Tuesday that seven women reported being raped and 16 others, including three foreigners, said they were sexually abused by Mexico police who detained them after clashes last week in San Salvador Atenco.

The Roman Catholic archdiocese of Dublin, Ireland revealed that it suspects 102 of its priests sexually or physically abused at least 350 children in the last 66 years.
