Happy Birthday, Suri Cruise!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have a lot to be proud of. Their little daughter, Suri, is a year old and recently celebrated her first birthday in style, surrounded by her family. The child is still blissfully unaware of the amount of media attention she attracted from the time that her parents announced Holmes? pregnancy and for months after her birth. Her first few months were so cloistered that the media even started suspecting that Suri didn?t exist!

When Suri was a few months old, her parents wed in a fairytale event in Italy, combining a Scientology ceremony with a traditional white wedding. The guest list read like a Who?s-Who of Hollywood and the bride was so lovely that even little Suri could not upstage her for once. The family has since settled in Los Angeles, although her parents are still busy with their filming and acting careers, and are forever jetting off to different locations around the globe.

On April 18th, Cruise and Holmes invited their close family to celebrate Suri?s birthday in their backyard in their L.A. home. The guests were treated to typical toddler gourmet dishes, such as cupcakes from Sprinkles bakery and pizza. Among the gifts that Suri received was a large gym set for her garden because, according to her 44-year-old dad, ?she loves just being outside right now?. The lucky little girl also received books and toys, including a ball that she promptly managed to engage dad in a game with on the lawn. Happy Birthday, Suri!
