Titanic Couple Reunite

A decade after co-staring in the biggest-grossing film of all times, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio will reunite on the silver screen in the new film "Revolutionary Road." The movie is based on the first novel of author Richard Yates, carrying the same name. The book was a finalist for the National Book Award along with Catch-22 and The Moviegoer. When it was published by Atlantic-Little, Brown in 1961, it received critical acclaim, and the New York Times reviewed it as "beautifully crafted... a remarkable and deeply troubling book."

The movie will be directed by Winslet`s husband, Sam Mendes, who will be working with his wife for the first time. Like "Titanic," "Revolutionary Road" is a love story, yet is quite different. It tells the story of a successful couple living in Connecticut in the early 1950s. The movie tracks the couple as their marriage that feels stale, frustrating and emotionally unrewarding. They each attempts to find freedom and fulfillment in their own way, ending with cataclysmic consequences.

"It`s a full-on emotional drama with lots of twists and turns. The film has just become a dream team." David Thompson, head of BBC Films, which has developed Revolutionary Road, said. "Kate and Leo are absolutely at the top of their game and, combined with Sam, will create an explosive mix." Winslet and DiCaprio were both Oscar-nominated in the last academy award ceremony, Winslet for "Little Children" and DiCaprio for "The Departed." Filming will start in 11 weeks in the United States.
