Spokesman: Kate Moss did not Get Married
A spokesman for supermodel Kate Moss has denied that the 32-year-old married her on-off boyfriend, Pete Doherty in Thailand, despite the fact that rumors have been flying on the contrary. A number of British tabloids reported that unnamed sources informed them that Moss and her rock-star partner, Doherty made commitments to each other at a candlelit ceremony in Phuket on New Year?s Day.
This is not the first time that Moss and Doherty are making headlines. Kate Moss ? besides her modeling campaigns for huge industry names such as Luis Vuitton and Chanel ? was once photographed using cocaine at a recording studio. The star eventually apologized over that incident and booked herself into rehabilitation. Doherty, lead singer for the rock group, Babyshambles, is also battling a drug problem. Despite that ? or perhaps because of it - he has been voted as the ?coolest man on the planet? by a British music magazine.
Newspapers trying to confirm the wedding story were not too successful, after coming up against a wall of silence from many of the island?s luxury resorts where it is believed that the couple was staying. Guests at these hotels generally pay between $1000 and $5000 a day and have access to private swimming pools and other pampers. However, despite the rumors and speculations, Moss? spokesman, Stuart Higgins, emphatically denied the story. "There has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday," he said.
