DiCaprio to Star in Ridley Scott Film


The actor Leonardo DiCaprio is currently in talks to star in a new Hollywood drama, dealing with a CIA agent`s hunt after El Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden. The film is based on a novel "Body of Lies" written by David Ignatius. The film will be directed by the celebrated British director Ridley Scott, director of "Gladiator" and "Blade Runner." William Monahan, who recently received an Academy Award for writing "The Departed," will write the script.

Leonardo DiCaprio, who will soon begin shooting Sam Mendes`s "Revolutionary Road" together with his "Titanic" co-actress, Kate Winslet, will portray a CIA agent and former American journalist, sent to Jordan to track down an El Qaeda leader planning a terror attack on US soil. This will be DiCaprio`s first film with Ridley Scott.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated for 3 Academy Awards, as well as, winning a Golden Globe Award. He is well known for his roles in blockbuster movies such as the 1996 William Shakespeare "Romeo + Juliet," the highest-grossing film of all time in the North American market, "Titanic," "Catch Me If You Can," "Gangs of New York," "The Aviator," "The Departed," and "Blood Diamond." As a young man, he famed for his global celebrity influence dubbed as `Leomania` in the late 1990s following his memorable role as Jack Dawson. More recently, he has worked regularly with director Martin Scorsese which has led some to compare their partnership to that of Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro.
