Anna Nicole`s Death Was Caused By Overdose say Officials
Not even two months have passed since the tragic death of Anna Nicole Smith, but it was enough for dozens of newspapers, magazines and tabloids to publish countless theories and conspiracies about her sudden death. Finally, the police has released today an official press release in which it confirms that the former Playboy Playmate died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, including sedatives. "Based on an extensive view of the evidence, we are convinced that this case is an accidental overdose, as we didn`t find any indication of foul play" said Police Chief Charlie Tiger.
Broward County Medical Examiner ,Joshua Perper, gave an account of events leading up to Smith`s death. According to Perper, Smith was suffering a severe depression after the death of her 20-year-old son, Daniel, who died of a drug overdose in September. In addition, Perper confirmed the fact that Smith complained of chills when she arrived in Florida, on February 5, and was later found to be running a 105 degree fever. "We think that the real cause of death was a combined drug toxicity of chloral hydrate and other high concentrations of other medications" said Perper. Among other, the nine drugs found in Smith`s blood included anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications.
As a reminder, the death of the tabloid star sparked a legal feud over her burial, in addition to the custody and paternity battle over her 6-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, who could inherit one day millions, being the sole surviving offspring of the deceased. Anna Nicole Smith was buried in the Bahamas on March 2, but rest assure ? the whole issue is far from over.
