Pop Queens Guitar to Debut on eBay
Many celebrities go down the eBay path with some gimmick every now and again. Britney Spears tried selling a pair of flip flops and Nick Lachey sold his Jessica Simpson`s memories, and now its Madonna`s turn to make a sale, but this one is for a good cause. On October 6, Madonna will put up her Gibson Les Paul, once owned by legendary guitar technician John Griswold. The guitar was custom made and it is the same one she used during her `Drowned` tour in 2001. The lucky buyer will find the original strings from the tour, as well as the Pop queen`s signature in gold pen reading `Love Madonna`.
Madonna is receiving the spotlight here but it is actually Griswold who is selling the item. He is still recovering from the devastation of hurricane Katrina and he plans to use the money to help him heal and rebuild. It was he who customized the guitar for the singer and was later given it back as a token of her appreciation for all his services. Until the auction begins, the guitar can be previewed at Pierce and Shelly Celebrity Services. The auction starts October 6, 2006, at 7:00 P.M. PST, ending on October 16, 2006.
