Willie Nelson`s Green Environment

Willie Nelson has been politically active lately, pushing for greener fuel and petitioning congress to pass a bill banning the industrial slaughter of wild horses to sell as meat to consumers abroad. He has also been urging politicians to scrap criminal penalties for pot possession. The urging hasn?t changed the law on the possession of Marijuana, and what do you know, Willie got busted. Police stopped his tour bus in Louisiana for a routine commercial inspection and once the door flew open, a distinct odor emerged from the bus.

A quick search aboard the bus turned up close to a kilo of marijuana and around 90 grams of psychedelic mushrooms. Along with Nelson, four more people were found on the bus, among them Nelson`s sister and three more band members.

Police said that the group did not receive any preferential treatment, and added that the five were not arrested as it would be up to the county district attorney to decide whether the musicians will be called to court. If convicted, they could each face up to six months in jail--but probation or fines are more likely sentences.
