Simpsons stay young, yellow and popular

The Simpsons are back for their 18th season and it seems as if they will never stop. Every year the same questions come up, and rightfully so, people would like to know the secret, they would like to know how in the world will the writers captivate the audience this season. The writers, on their part, have done so relentlessly in the past, and this year they promise the same, to stay on top of their game. At the end of the upcoming season, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie will star in their first feature film, and as an anticipated summer movie, it looks like it will do pretty well with the millions of fans they have accumulated along the way.

The series is seen in more than 70 countries around the globe, which along with a large amount of merchandise running around, has made it a reported billion dollar cartoon cash cow for Fox news corp. The Simpsons themselves have never seen a dime, but the voices behind the yellow family are actually doing pretty well. Besides voiceover performance honors the crew has joined forces to collect a brand new Emmy for best animated series, just last month.

The honorable total comes out to 23 Emmys altogether, 9 of them for best animated series. The writers will continue to pursue the next award, and wish to pull in the next generation of fans by next summer.
