Nicole Richie Turns to Treatment Facility for Help

Nicole Richie, the entertainment icon, has recently checked into a treatment facility to discover just why she is incapable of gaining weight. The star?s publicist has confirmed that she has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment in order to find out why she hasn?t been putting on any weight. Despite denials of an eating disorder from the Richie clan, news of the star?s treatment is likely to fuel further press speculation about her health.

?It is important to Nicole that she achieves this goal in a healthy way as this is not a treatment for an eating disorder,? said Nicole Perna, Richie?s publicist. Richie has also told Vanity Fair that she knows that she is too thin at the moment, and is not happy with her current look. She fervently denies having an eating disorder of any kind. She even posted a statement on her MySpace web page for entertainment fans to read the real deal.

In the meantime, the filming of the ?Simple Life? television show that Richie films with co-star Paris Hilton, will be put on hold. As she seeks treatment, news of her long-time feud coming to an end with Paris has made entertainment headlines. Recently the two friends were seen dining together at a West Hollywood restaurant.
