Snoop Dogg May Face Charges Over Baton

Famous rapper and entertainment star Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, may be charged by Californian authorities for carrying a collapsible baton in his laptop case, the baton is classified as a dangerous weapon. The baton was discovered during a security check at John Wayne International airport on September 27th, 2006. According to Jim Amormoni, the Orange County Sheriff?s department spokesman, the baton was 53 cm long.

Snoop Dogg naturally had an explanation for the baton, claiming that it was a prop that was to be used in a movie he was filming in New York. Susan Kan Schroeder, the district attorney?s spokeswoman, stated that prosecutors received the sheriff?s report yesterday and still had yet to decide whether or not to charge the entertainment icon, who so far, has not been arrested.

If he is arrested, it won?t be the first time this entertainment celebrity will see the inside of a prison cell. During May of this year, Snoop Dogg and five members of his group spend the night in a prison in London, England after a fight in the Heathrow British Airways business lounge left seven police officers injured. This story made headlines everywhere. The rapper may no longer fly with British Airways because of the incident. His newest album, which is due out next month, is his eighth, titled ?Tha Blue Carpet Treatment?. Fans all over the world are eagerly awaiting its debut.
